Harry Connick Jr. hosted Sunday night's two-hour prime timeUnited We Singspecial tribute to essential workers,USA Todayreports. In the special, Connick and his filmmaker daughter Georgia Connick hopped in an RV and traveled across the U.S. to visit with workers on the frontline of the coronavirus battle. Connick also opened the show by telling viewers that it had been taped before the death of George Floyd and subsequent protests, and acknowledged that the virus was no longer the only issue in the country now. Among Connick's stops were with his sister, Dr. Suzanna Jamison, in Queens, New York. "This is the strangest meeting I've ever had with you in my life," the singer told his sister. "Not hugging her is killing me." In Kentucky, Connick connected husband and wife truckers Kim and Michael Frasier with Tim McGraw over FaceTime."You guys are the backbone, the heartbeat of keeping this country alive," McGraw told the couple. "We can't appreciate you enough." Other appearances included Queen Latifah visiting teachers at her old New Jersey high school, and Oprah Winfrey praising workers at a Boys & Girls Club in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Other celebs to appear included NFL quarterback Drew Brees and actor Brad Pitt.
