ABC Plans Quarantined “Dancing With the Stars” & “Bachelorette” in Fall

ABC rolled out a map of its fall programming Wednesday, which included quarantined versions of Dancing With the Stars andThe Bachelorette,USA Today reports. The network is the last of the major broadcast networks to release its fall schedule, and President Karey Burke acknowledged that it was necessary for its ad-sales team to sell time, and also that because of the coronavirus, the schedule is tentative. "Anybody that's convinced of anything right now is not speaking truth," Burke says. "This is a target for us; we're calling it our premiere schedule. We're hopeful that it's a version of our fall schedule, but we felt it's important to announce it now so we have something to work toward.”The Bachelorette, starring Clare Crawley, was bumped from its normal summer run, and will be shot in a remote location where contestants will be quarantined with crew for the show’s duration. Burke spoke to DWTS producers, and "we got confidence from them in their ability to deliver that show, even in a quickly post-COVID environment."
