Reese Witherspoon Calls 2013 Arrest "Embarrassing & Dumb"

Reese Witherspoon looked back on her 2013 arrest last week in a podcast interview with The Good Place star Jameela Jamil. "I did something really stupid...It was so embarrassing and dumb," Witherspoon said about the obstruction charge she was slapped with after she got out of the car and confronted a cop during husband Jim Toth's DUI arrest. After Jamil applauded the "refreshing" apology she gave seven years ago, the 44-year-old Witherspoon added, "You know what—turns out I breathe air. I bleed the same way. I make dumb decisions. I make great decisions. I'm just a human being." She also opened up about dealing with postpartum depression after giving birth to each of her three kids, as well as managing her lifelong anxiety. “I’ve definitely had a lot of not sane moments in my life. I’ve had a lot of crying on the kitchen floor," she says. “I was 23 years old when I had my first baby and nobody explained to me that when you wean a baby, your hormones go into the toilet. I felt more depressed than I’d ever felt in my whole life. It was scary.”
