Neighborhood Says Pledge Of Allegiance Every Morning

School is anything but normal these days, with kids studying at home and parents pressed into duty as substitute teachers. But in Kettering, Ohio, Jennifer Stamper started having her kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance each morning on their front porch. It's since become a neighborhood ritual, with at least a couple dozen people gathering outside--at a socially acceptable distance--to recite the Pledge at 9 a.m. every day. “I think it brings the neighborhood together when we’re supposed to be apart,” Julie Ryan, a second-grade teacher who lives next door to the Stampers, tells the AP. “For the kids, I think it’s good to have some sort of structure to their day.” USA
