Police Identify Teens Who Filmed Themselves Coughing Near Produce

Virginia police have identified the two teenagers who were thought to be coughing on produce and filming it for a social media prank, according to The New York Post. On Thursday, the Purcellville, Virginia police posted on Facebook, “We have learned that this appears to be a disturbing trend on social media across the country, and we ask for help from parents to discourage this behavior immediately." On Friday, police talked to the teens, who admitted they were the alleged coughing culprits. However, authorities determined that the pair did not spit or cough on produce or customers. "The investigation concluded the teenagers were getting close to other patrons and coughing into their own sleeves, while filming it on their phones," officers said. The police asked parents to monitor their children during this time.
