Coronavirus Scam Alert from The Manatee County Sheriff's Office
SCAM ALERT: While MCSO has not had any reported cases as of now, we want to warn you of a COVID19-related scam we are hearing about in other parts of Florida.
Scammers are calling, texting, or emailing, claiming to be with the CDC and offering to let people "reserve a vaccine for COVID-19."
They are saying they need your credit card and/or social security numbers to reserve a vaccine. There is NO vaccine reservation program and the CDC is NOT offering anything of the sort.
Anyone receiving such a call should not under any circumstances give the caller any personal information or money via any method of payment.#COVID19Scam
