Clare Crawley was named the next star ofThe Bacheloretteon Monday--but just like when she came in second on the 2014 season ofThe Bachelor, it seems Crawley was ABC's runner-up pick. “ABC was after Hannah Brown to be the Bachelorette again, asking her for months,” a source tells Us Weekly. “They really wanted her to do it but, obviously, it didn’t ultimately work out.” The 25-year-old Brown, who starred onThe Bachelorette's most recent season, "was hugely popular and so it made sense for them to ask her" the insider adds. In the end, though, Brown reportedly felt that "moving forward" with her life was the better choice. The source adds, “It wasn’t just about the money; there were specific things about the contract, too."
