Jeff Gebhart has apparently been looking for love in all the wrong places. So now the 47-year-old entrepreneur from Prairie Village, Kansas, is trying something different: He'll give $25,000 to anyone who helps him find a girlfriend. "I'm single, and I don’t want to go back to the normal, app-based dating stuff," Gebhart explains in a video on DateJeffG.com, a website he launched this past weekend. "I think that a lot of people treat each other pretty poorly through that, and it's a toxic community. I kinda have a choice there, and I'm choosing not to do that...I'm trying to develop a better way, and I think this is it." Gebhart--whose dog, Gunner, features prominently in the video--will also donate an additional $25,000 to a no-kill dog shelter as part of the deal. Now here's the fine print: A woman cannot nominate herself to be his girlfriend in order to collect the money, and whoever winds up successfully playing matchmaker must still wait until the end of a one-year "Initial Dating Period" before receiving the sum in five yearly installments of $5,000 apiece.
