Students on the campus of Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, can now score some low-cost grub from none other than Jon Bon Jovi.
On Wednesday, the rocker and his wife opened their latest JBJ Soul Kitchen at the school, offering pay-what-you-can meals. NJ.com reports that those who can't afford to pay anything can instead choose to "volunteer at the restaurant or elsewhere on campus to cover the cost of their food."
Otherwise, diners are encouraged to pay $12 for a three-course meal. "Students have enough to worry about. Worrying about where their next meal will come from should not be on the list," Bon Jovi's wife, Dorothea Bongiovi, said at the opening.
Bon Jovi's other nonprofit JBJ Soul Kitchens are located in the New Jersey towns of Toms River and Red Bank. Last year, JBJ Soul Kitchens served free meals to federal workers who were furloughed during the government shutdown.
