An entire kindergarten class showed up at a courthouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to support their friend Michael Clark Jr. during his adoption hearing.
After learning that Michael’s adoption would be finalized soon, his teacher, Mrs. McKee, suggested the class trip to make the big day extra special for Michael.
In the courtroom, the kids waved big red hearts mounted on wooden sticks to show their support and shared what Michael means to them, with many of them telling the court, “I love Michael” or “Michael's my best friend.”
Of course, Michael’s adoptive parents -- Andrea Melvin and Dave Eaton -- were touched. Not only were their lives were changed forever when the adoption become official, but they also walked away from the courtroom with a beautiful memory.
