The FWC says Florida has become so infested with iguanas that the state's wildlife commission is instructing residents "to kill green iguanas on their own property whenever possible."
The commission adds, "Iguanas can also be killed year-round and without a permit on 22 public lands in south Florida."
Soaring temperatures have led the iguanas to migrate north in droves.
They tend to poop on pool decks and destroy gardens.
