World War II Veteran Gets Thousands of Birthday Cards for 101st Birthday

A World War II veteran in Utah recently celebrated his 101st birthday and the celebration will continue for as long as it takes him to read all of the birthday cards he received -- all 5,000 of them.

John Frey's family thought it would be great if he could receive a lot of birthday wishes, so they got the word out on social media and in the news hoping he would get a few hundred cards. They never expected more than 5,000.

Frey received cards from all 50 states and at least 12 countries. He got cards from children, military vets and elected officials.

Frey says it's been tiring but exciting opening up all of the envelopes
