98-year-old Victoria Williams of Bay City,Michigan, stays busy by sewing each and every day.
And, she’s using her energy and her skill to help others by sewing clothing items for those in need.
Recently, when a nurse from the area announced she was going to an orphanage in Guatemala,Victoria got to work on a dress for each girl there. The nurse was able to take 12 of Victoria’s dresses.
Victoria makes the dresses out of donated material – or other materials she can find. And, she says it takes one day to make a dress if she’s not distracted. But since she admits she’s distracted each day, it usually takes her two days.
Victoria is always working on something and it’s always for somebody else, whether the person lives nearby – or is as far away as Guatemala.
