Do you know a military veteran? Maybe a family member or a friend?
The Bradenton Marauders are planning their third annual Military Heroes baseball card set. They are seeking nominations from the community, of Military Veterans to include in this set. The baseball card set will represent each branch of the military and it will also honor those currently serving, as well as those who have served in the past, and those who have we have lost .
Up to 20 submissions will be selected for the 2019 card set, and each card will feature a photo of the veteran, years served, branch and rank, and service details.
Veterans chosen for the card set — and their families — will be honored on the Marauders "Military Appreciation Night", on Friday, June 21st, and each selected hero will receive 50 of their own baseball cards. The card sets will be given to the first 500 fans, as the Marauders host the Tampa Tarpons. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Nominations will be accepted until Monday, May 13 at 5 p.m., and can be submitted online at: BradentonMarauders.com. The nomination form should be completed and a picture of the nominee must be emailed to: David.Farson@Pirates.com.
