The creator of the Jelly Belly jelly bean has launched a line of sweets infused with the cannabis-derived compound cannabidiol.
Candy inventor David Klein has created CBD-infused jelly beans in 38 flavors ranging from toasted marshmallow to piña colada. Each bean contains 10 mg of CBD and can be ordered online.
A patent is pending for the recipe, Cannabis Aficionado reported. The confectioner sands the jelly beans with sugar – dextrose or Maltitol – to mask the CBD flavor.
Unfortunately you cannot order these in small batches.According to the company's website, a minimum 8,000 pieces must be ordered. Consumers also need to send CBD for their beans and provide the lab report, the website states.
The jelly beans are currently out of stock, but customers can fill out a contact form on the website.
