The new overpass was built by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Last week Sarasota County announced the official opening of the new Legacy Trail overpass at Laurel Road in Nokomis. The new overpass, built by the Florida Department of Transportation, is 12 feet wide and 90 feet long and provides everyone from bikers, skateboarders, rollerbladers and pedestrians with a safe way to cross the street.
