Charity Donates Stuffed Animals to Babies in the Hospital

Noel Schoessow is a father of two – who spent more than a year of his life confined to a hospital bed when he was a kid. He remembers how difficult that was for him and his family, so he founded a charity effort in hopes of soothing parents who have babies in a neo-natal intensive care unit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Noel’s charity – called “The Bear Hug Project” – raises thousands of dollars each year and purchases stuffed animals for the hospitalized children.

He admits that it’s a small gesture. The stuffed animals don’t solve any problems, but they do bring smiles. And in those difficult times, having a smile gives people much needed strength.
