Like many people, Cecil Ray Fuentes has a pickup truck. And, he recently put that truck to good use by loading it up with 120 frozen turkeys to give away to folks in his hometown of Ranger, Texas.
Cecil was inspired to help because he remembers that growing up, his family didn’t have very much at times. And at those times, his family relied on others to help.
He now is in a position to help others, so he wanted to pay it forward.
The giveaway was simple, but it impacted many families in the area. He loaded the pickup with 120 turkeys, parked in a parking lot and held up a sign that read, “Free Turkeys. Happy Thanksgiving!”
Cecil was thrilled because it didn’t take long for him to give away each and every turkey he purchased.
Not only did he give away a lot a turkeys and a lot of hope ... but also a lot of hugs.
