Indiana Girl Scout Liz Brobst has been working hard this spring to sell cookies -- and then send the cookies to U.S. soldiers actively serving overseas.
Her goal is to provide every single soldier away from home with a box of Girl Scout cookies, and she’s been chipping away at this goal, one box at a time.
Even though she’s only 12 years old, Liz has been in the Girl Scouts for seven years. And because she has many family members in the military, she works hard every cookie-selling season on behalf of soldiers.
Through the years, Liz has shipped thousands of boxes overseas. And this year, she’s already collected 1,600 boxes to donate, which means many men and women making sacrifices in foreign countries will get a taste of home.
