The Invasive Armored Catfish is Causing Harm to Florida's Manatees

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission say the invasive armored catfish are almost impossible to exterminate, and with so many threats already to manatees, one more is still a concern. 

Despite the fact that it only eats algae, it’s causing problems with one of Florida’s most at-risk species.

Dozens of these invasive fish can be seen clinging to the backs of manatees, feeding on the algae that grow on their backs
