Movies are Back in Downtown Sarasota, as The Regal Hollywood 11 Movie Theaters on Main St. – Reopens Today
The re-opening tonight (5/7/21), means most, if not all… of our local movie theaters in Sarasota and Manatee have now re-opened, after their closings for the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Regal Theaters made the announcement yesterday (5/6/21) that three theatres they own in our region, will be reopening to the public Today, (5/7/21) the only local one in Sarasota & Manatee County, is the Hollywood 11 on Sarasota’s Mani Street.
Mortal Kombat and Godzilla vs. Kong will headline new movies in theaters.. that along with a full slate of additional movies, that will be on the way, in the coming weeks.
There will be safety protocols…
Guests will be required to wear a face mask at all times while in the theatre lobby, auditoriums and restrooms, However, masks can be removed while eating and drinking while seated in an auditorium.
Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to purchase their tickets and concession items through the Regal mobile app.
Regal says the fresh air intake throughout auditoriums will be increased by 50 to 100 percent above normal levels.
Two empty seats will also be kept in between groups to maintain proper social distancing protocols.
