Three weeks ago, Jennie Stejna was the first to test positive for coronavirus in her nursing home. She had a low-grade fever and was moved to a separate ward.
As the Grandmother's condition got worse, her granddaughter and family got tog ether to say their goodbyes.
However, on May 13, There was Good news — The 103 Year Old Stejna had recovered and beat COVID-19.
The staff at her nursing home gave Jennie an ice cold Bud Light to celebrate her recovery, something she loved but hadn’t had since she was diagnosed with COVID-19 . .
Jennie has lived all her life in Massachusetts. Her husband, Teddy, died in 1992 at age 82. The two were married in 1938 and were together for 54 years.
