A man in San Francisco is bringing joy to his neighbors by serving free coffee to essential workers passing by.
Before having to shelter in place, Ben Ramirez was in the process of opening his own coffee shop in the neighborhood. Since he had to put things on hold, he had plenty of coffee on hand. So he is giving it for free to all workers on the front line -- and even to his neighbors.
Ben Ramirez waits by his open window with a sign outside, written on the street in chalk, that reads “Free Coffee.”
And when he sees a mail carrier or healthcare worker walking by, he offers his services – safely, of course – using a toy gorilla hand, allowing him and his customers to remain socially distanced.
