Army Combat Veteran with PTSD Donates Art to VA Medical Center in Virginia
Tim DiMarco served tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the Army -- and had trouble working through Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). He turned to the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Coatesville, Virginia, for help. It was a good choice as the VA helped him get back on his feet.
Tim was able to show his appreciation for the help he received at the VA by welding an amazing piece of art -- that spells out Coatesville VA Medical Center -- created from local railroad materials.
Donating the metalwork was a way to give back to the medical center. Having grown up in Coatesville -- a steel town that relies on the railroad -- he has a strong connection to community and the hospital that helped him out. And, he wants other veterans to take advantage of the benefits the VA has offered him.
