Jason Aldean and other country artists comment on Vegas shooting

A shooting during Jason Aldean's performance at the 3 day Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival in Las Vegas ... left more than 50 people dead and a new report now that at least 400 are injured, and those numbers can change, this marks  deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. Jason was performing near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino around 10:08 p.m. local time when shots were fired,  rapid shots rang out – “hundreds of shots.” The band was rushed off the stage, the floodlights came on the crowd...Off-duty police officers are reportedly among the dead.

The crowd scattered in a wild panicJason Aldean, his wife Brittany and his team are safe. Jason posted this comment on Instagram,  Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe. My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.

Last night’s artists included Luke Combs... who posted of photo of himself on stage on instagram and said, This is a photo from just a short few hours ago. I wanted to post a photo of what this festival was supposed to be about and not give this horrible person the recognition he so desperately wanted. I am incredibly saddened by tonight's events and while I'm thankful that me and all of my band and crew are alive and unharmed, I can't help but hurt for all the people who weren't as fortunate and the pain their loved ones must feel. Keep Vegas, these fans, and all of the country music community in your thoughts and prayers, we could sure use it tonight. Thank you.

Jake Owen tweeted: "Gun shots were ringing off of the stage rigging and road cases. No one knew where to go..thank you LVPD and responders for keeping us safe"

Chris Young tweeted:  Spent I don't know how long on the floor of a trailer behind the stage... know multiple people are dead. Listening to that gunfire... I'm literally shaking still. J

Lauren Alaina‏ tweeted:  I won't be sleeping tonight. Instead I am going to pray and pray and pray for the people in Vegas.

Lee Brice‏: Hearts out to Vegas. Route 91 concert, stage I played two nights ago. Musicians, fans, workers, you are all in our prayers right now.
