Man traffics Arkansas woman to Miami for prostitution, exotic dancing

Miami, FL - A man's been arrested on human trafficking charges after he forced an Arkansas woman to engage in prostitution and exotic dancing in South Florida.

Miami-Dade police arrested 29-year-old Kyron Richardson after Richardson forced the 21-year-old victim into prostitution and exotic dances after flying her to Miami.

According to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Richardson communicated with the victim on social media and began “grooming” her, telling her that she was “too beautiful to be in Little Rock” and that she should be in Miami with him.

Richardson then “offered the victim a chance to join his lifestyle by providing her with a one-way airline ticket to Miami, without explaining what she would be doing while in Florida."

Prosecutors say upon her arrival in Miami, Richardson took the victim to a home in Liberty City, where she met three other women.

The victim witnessed Richardson acting violently with the other women, causing her to fear angering him.

The State Attorney's Office said in a news release “the victim also indicated that Richardson owned a rifle which caused her to fear for her life. She felt she would anger Richardson if she did not earn money through prostitution dates and exotic dancing. All the money collected by the victim from the exotic dancing and prostitution went to Richardson.”

The victim texted her father that she was in trouble on Thanksgiving and sent him her address.

The victim's father called Miami police who arrested Richardson on Tuesday.

Richardson's been charged with two counts of human trafficking, one count of unlawful use of a communications device and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution.
