Rosenberg Out As FIU's President

Florida International University's President is stepping down effective immediately.

In a brief statement Mark B. Rosenberg announced he's resigning effect today to focus on his "recurring personal health issues and to the deteriorating health of his wife, Rosalie."

Board of Trustee Chair Dean Colson says he will nominate Chief Financial Officer & Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration Dr. Kenneth Jessell to serve as interim president.

A national search will be conducted to serve as the school's sixth president.
