Football coach donates backpacks full of school supplies

It’s a busy time for football coaches as they’re getting their teams ready for the season ahead. But Mike Zimmer, head coach of the Minnesota Vikings, took time out of his busy schedule to also help students get ready for the long school year ahead.

Mike showed up at The Salvation Army in St. Paul, Minnesota, to deliver 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to students there.

He definitely enjoyed being able to help those in need -- but he enjoyed interacting with the kids even more.

Mike is excited for everyone he met and helped to start off the school year right -- and all he asked is that they cheer for the Vikings this season.
