Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren announced Thursday that the league was canceling all non-conference games in football and other sports this fall because of the coronavirus, AP reports. He told the Big Ten Network the move made it “much easier if we’re just working with our Big Ten institutions” in terms of things like scheduling and traveling," before warning, “We may not have a college football season in the Big Ten." Some of the big football games that are now canceled include, Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin, Michigan at Washington, Ohio State-Oregon, Penn State-Virginia Tech and Miami-Michigan State. The ban also affects smaller colleges who play early games against Power 5 opponents for the payday. Other conferences like the SEC, the ACC, Pac-12 and Big 12 have not yet made similar announcements.
