Florida Sheriff Now Getting Tips in "Tiger King" Missing Person Cold Case

Thanks to the success of the Netflix doc Tiger King, a sheriff in Florida may finally be able to crack a decades-old missing person case. As CNN notes, Jack Donald "Don" Lewis, who's been missing since 1997, was married to Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin--the intended target of Joe Exotic's murder-for-hire plot at the center of the series. On Monday, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister tweeted a pic of Lewis and wrote, "Since Netflix and COVID-19 quarantine has madeTiger King all the rage, I figured it was a good time to ask for new leads." In fact, Chronister says his office is now fielding about six tips a day in the case. "We are already receiving new tips and we hope to close this cold case soon with the help of the public," Chronister says. "Since the documentary came out, we've been receiving about six tips a day related to this case. We are looking into each one thoroughly."
