On Saturday night, residents of Chicago who are sheltering in place under state orders leaned out their window at 7 p.m. to belt out Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer" in unison. Vocalist Jon Bon Jovi got wind of the scheme and sent good wishes to the singers via Instagram. "I want you to know that I'm just warming up getting ready to sing along with you," he said in a brief video. "In these trying times, I am with you with all of my heart and my soul, sending my love to everybody in Chicago and across America. Sing it out, baby. We're all going to come through this together. Be strong, I love you." His dedication perhaps had a little more emotion than normal, as his Bon Jovi bandmate David Bryan tested positive for COVID-19. "I’ve been sick for a week and feeling better each day," the keyboardist posted on Instagram. "Please don’t be afraid!!! It’s the flu not the plague. I’ve have been quarantined for a week and will for another week." Bryan pledged to get tested again when he's feeling better "to make sure I’m free of this nasty virus. Please help out each other. This will be over soon... with the help of every American!"
