A 98-year-old woman in Pennsylvania has been selling cookies for the Girl Scouts since 1932 and counting.Good Morning America reports that Ronnie Backenstoe was born in 1922 and started selling cookies for the group at the age of 10. (At the time, there were only three kinds of cookies for sale--and a box only cost 15 cents.) She's still a member of an official Girl Scout troop--which, this year, joined her for a cookie sale recently at her retirement community. “I think that [Girl Scouting] was just part of living and that’s what really girl scouting is. It teaches you how to live,” Backenstoe says. Her favorite Girl Scout cookie flavor? Peanut butter.
