For nearly 20 years, Deb Schwartz has helped special education students at Brownstown Central High School in Indiana.
But recently, Deb and her husband, Dan, went the extra mile to help one of those students, 19-year-old Dylan Bridges, by adopting him.
Dylan was in foster care and struggling in school.
Deb and Dan had already raised two children -- and believed they could make a big impact in the life of Dylan -- so they asked Dylan if he would like to move in with them.
The new life situation has given Dylan a big boost. He’s achieving in school and is optimistic about his future, especially with Deb and Dan working with him to achieve his dream of one day having a home of his own and living independently.
