With students heading back to class Aug. 12, the Sarasota Police Department is asking the community to help "Pack the Patrol Car" with school supplies.
Sarasota Police officers are accepting school supplies now until Friday, Aug. 2nd, for the Third annual "Pack the Patrol Car" drive. School supply donations can be dropped off from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Sarasota Police Department, 2099 Adams Lane, Sarasota.
You can also join Lulu and I, on location for a Live Broadcast on Friday, July 26th, as we will be on site, iin Downtown Sarasota on Ringling Blvd. next to the Courthouse, collecting donations for local kids, going back to school.
Officers are collecting and accepting school supplies for all ages and grade levels including….
Backpacks, pencils, pens, highlighters, folders, notebooks , glue, markers, crayons, erasers, notebook paper. boxes of Kleenex and small bottles of hand sanitizer.
Event volunteers will break down all donations by grade level and distribute these items as needed to each student.
