Air Force Cadet Commissioned by His 101 Year Old Grandfather

The United States Air Force Academy recently commissioned its newest class of graduates, but one cadet in particular provided the biggest highlight of the day.

Joseph Kloc completed his program at the academy and was commissioned by a special member of his family -- his 101-year-old grandfather Walter Kloc.

Walter, a World War II veteran who served in the Air Force, traveled from his home in New York to Colorado just to be there for the proud opportunity to commission his grandson to second lieutenant.

Joseph's father, William Kloc said of his son, "He’s fulfilling his dream and he was so excited that his grandfather, a World War II Air Force bombardier pilot, could come and commission him.”
