Alligator Blocks Runway at MacDill Air Force Base

Fighter jets had difficulty taking off on Tuesday morning at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa - -because an alligator parked itself right in the middle of the runway. The base posted a photo of the stubborn gator on social media, along with the caption, “Your friendly, #TeamMacDill gator – preparing for take-off.”

The gator was eventually lured into the bucket of a front-end loader and relocated. It's believed to have climbed onto the runway from one of several bodies of water on the base.
