A shelter dog named Rudolph is being called a "miracle puppy" after he survived euthanasia and ultimately ended up in a loving forever home.
The Labrador retriever-pit bull mix became the odd dog out in a crowded kill shelter in Oklahoma and a decision was made to put him down.
The vet administered the first round of euthanasia drugs, but Rudolph somehow survived it. The vet then refused to administer the second round and arranged to have Rudolph sent to a no-kill shelter in Iowa instead.
A few days after he arrived, a man stopped by and immediately hit it off with Rudolph. He adopted him and gave him the happy ending he came so close to not having.
