Over the past year, 13-year-old Allysa Narang of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has spent her free time knitting hats -- which she is now donating to local homeless people.
Allysa learned to knit from her mother and dedicated herself to helping the homeless be more comfortable during the upcoming winter months.
Amazingly, she was able to create 83 hats and deliver them to a non-profit group, which will be able to get the hats into the hands of those in needs.
And even though Allysa is only 13, this isn’t her first charity effort. Before this, she used her crafting skills to make bracelets and charms, which she donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital and to Ronald McDonald House.
Allysa appreciates the nice feedback she has gotten from the grateful recipients of her hats. But, she admits that she’s mostly inspired by the feeling of doing something nice for others.
