U.S. Marine Sergeant Camron Spiece created quite a scene at Oakview South Elementary school in St. Johns, Michigan, by showing up in his dress blues and waiting to surprise his four-year-old daughter, Graycen.
Over the past six years, he has served overseas in Iraq and Kuwait -- and conducted training sessions in North Carolina.
But this trip was special because he was surprising Graycen, first thing in the morning at school, after being away for an entire year.
Both father and daughter were thrilled to be reunited. And, Graycen was especially happy to learn that her dad will be home for good. He’s starting a new job in town and won’t be traveling to faraway places anymore, which means he’ll be able to take her to school every morning from now on.
