Goodwill Manasota's Job Connection program is hosting a multi-employer job fair this Wednesday, September 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at its corporate campus (2705 51st Ave. E., Bradenton).
At least 40 of the area's top employers are signed up to participate, all with job openings they are seeking to fill.
Numerous industries will be represented during the event, from manufacturing (PGT), food service and production (Tropicana) and retail operations (Amazon, Home Goods, Publix and Wal-Mart) to nonprofits (Goodwill, AARP), government entities (Sarasota and Manatee County Sheriff's Departments, Sarasota County Government and Sarasota County School District), healthcare organizations (Allied Pro-Health Care, and Venice Regional Bayfront Health) and hospitality (The Ritz-Carlton).
Candidates of all experience levels are welcome; they are asked to bring a resume and be dressed for on-the-spot interviews.
Goodwill's Job Connection program is a free service that is designed to help individuals obtain long-term employment or to transition to better-paying jobs. Through the program, community members can get career counseling, interest and aptitude assessments, assistance with resume and cover letter writing skills, interview strengthening exercises, and application submission guidance.
Additionally, Goodwill not only employs individuals with disabilities, veterans, older adults, and those with other barriers to employment, the organization also provides them with ongoing education and skills training to maintain stable employment.
