Florida Teachers donate 75 Sick Days to Co-Worker Who Has Cancer

56-year-old history teacher Robert Goodman of Palm Beach, Florida, battled cancer over the summer and was close to finishing his treatments, but ran into a problem. He had already used all of his sick days -- and had none left.

He needed only 20 extra sick days to finish things off, so he posted a request on Facebook, asking employees in the school district to help him out. And, help him out, they did.

It took just four days for teachers, administrators and other school employees to transfer 75 days to Robert.

Robert even saw educators from all over the country reaching out to him to donate their sick days, including some college professors.

Thanks to their generosity, he’ll be able to not only finish his cancer treatment, but also rest and recover for the entire first semester, allowing him to return to school in January of 2019, as strong as ever.
