While walking through cities in Minnesota, five-year-old Rachel Barth couldn’t help but notice homeless people on the street. Her parents explained the situation to her -- and Rachel decided to do something about it.
She started a lemonade stand, with the goal of helping people from the start.
Because of her big heart and ambition, Rachel raised over $65, which she donated to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans -- an organization that helps veterans in need find housing. More important than the money, though, was the example she set for others to follow.
In exchange for her hard work and generosity, Rachel received a certificate and a special military coin, which is a reminder to everyone that they can make a difference, regardless of how old or young they are. (KIMT-TV)
