Man and child stuck on a zipline at Gatorland over a pool of gators

GATORLAND, Fla. —

A man and a child became stuck on a zipline at Gatorland over a pool of gators Saturday.

The manager of the zipline said the situation is an everyday occurrence and happens fairly often.

The man and child were never in any danger, as the guides at Gatorland are fully trained in that particular situation.

The pair were about 40 feet above the gators at the apex of the zipline. Officials said they were stuck on the zipline for around 20 to 25 minutes, slightly longer than normal, due to the weight of the man.

Wind gusts are typically to blame for people becoming stuck, which was what happened in this situation.

The manager said it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes.
