Needy families in Florida are getting a boost from a special program that provides breakfasts and lunches for kids during the summer months.
It is through the entire State of Florida for ALL qualifying children... Simply Dial "211" for all the info.
At other times of the year, students are served meals at school, of course. But for families dealing with food insecurity, the summer months can be difficult. So, volunteers have come forward to make hundreds of lunches at Cape Coral High School -- and bring them to different summer programs at nearby parks.
It’s a great opportunity for people come together and lend their skills to help others in their community.
