An Air Force veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and has spent the rest of his life serving his community and putting smiles on people's faces, now has 60,000 new reasons to smile, himself.
Despite being loved by so many people and have plenty of reasons to smile, Larry Kleiman says he hasn't smiled in 40 years because he lost all of his teeth due to a calcium deficiency and was very self-conscious about it.
Kleiman, who ironically is nicknamed "Smiley," served two tours in the Vietnam War and currently volunteers with his local fire department. When a local dentist named Dr. Michael Tischler heard about Larry, he decided to step up and do something for a man who has done so much for others.
So as a way to say thank you for his service, both in the military and in his community, Dr. Tischler's practice set him up with a mouthful of new dental implants -- a $60,000 value.
Tischler said, "They're giving up their lives for our freedom. And to have a gentleman like this that had two tours in Vietnam, which was a horrible war … We felt good helping him." (Inside Edition)
