DEPLOYED MILITARY PARENTS SURPRISE KIDS, with the help of the NEW YORK YANKEES

A couple of military parents, who had both been deployed in Kuwait for the past nine months, surprised their young kids on Sunday with the help of the New York Yankees.

10-year-old Daniel Gomez and his little sister Isabella, who have been living with their grandparents, were invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Yankees' spring training game in Tampa. Before winding up and delivering the pitch, they were shown a video of their mom and dad, Captain Elizabeth Gomez and Chief Warrant Officer Jose Gomez.

Then it was time to throw a strike. They each fired it in to a couple of Yankees catchers, and were surprised to find out they weren't really Yankees catchers. They were their parents ... with an earlier-than-expected surprise.
