Publix says No Thanks. Will Not Offer COVID-19 Vaccine to Children Under 5

The Food and Drug Administration approved Moderna and Pfizer shots for children 6 months to 5 years. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended them for the age group.

Publix did not give a reason for not offering the vaccine to young children.

For children 6 months and up, that are eligible to get the flu shot, Publix does provide them.

Also, Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine for children 5 and up are available on the Publix website. https://www.publix.com/pharmacy

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo is not recommending the shots for kids under 5, if they are healthy children.
